Parnana Pikurtu Wildlife Sanctuary

Our sanctuary  was founded in 2014.
The name comes from the Kaalamaya language of the Kaprun people.
Parnana (pronounced Pana) means the ground the Kangaroo walks on. Pikurtu  Means Red Kangaroo. So, the sanctuary name, loosely translated, means "The Kangaroo's Place".

Our objectives are to rescue, treat, care for and rehabilitate injured, sick, orphaned and displaced wildlife.

During your visit you are welcome to discover our wildlife in care and assist at feeding time in exchange for a small donation towards the sanctuary.
This option may not always be available depending on circumstance's.
